Been some time between Forest Hill Cabernets for me, about 8 years it seems.
Dark chocolate, blackcurrant and blackberry, aniseed and gum leaf, wet cement, cedar oak tucked in. Medium to full-bodied, succulent dark fruit, dark chocolate, a mass of tightly packed tannin, dried rose, acidity perhaps a little prominent, but there’s depth of fruit and density to cover. A lot of wine to chew on here, though the elevated acidity gives me pause. Still.
