Wes Mantooth was, maybe, a little surly. And white. I think he’d enjoy this wine. Orange does a good line in Sauvignon. I’d say it was one of their better suited grape varieties.
Guava, white peach, pink grapefruit and a dusting of cinnamon and clove spice. Comes in ripe and smooth with a gooseberry and pink grapefruit tang, lovely fine chalky texture, cool acidity, a nice bit of crunch and energy, and a long and textured finish. Deft handling in winery with purity of fruit. It’s an excellent wine. You stay classy, Sauvignon.
